Title: Getting God’s View Of Jonah
Synopsis: We see that we need to open our eyes to God to His
true interpretation of the scripture, for many have mis-interpreted Jonah and
not seen Jesus and His Cross – His view of these scriptures and of Jonah.
Jesus honored Jonah as a type of Himself and a picture of someone He could deeply
relate to. We condemn Jonah because we can't see the cross, and we formulate
and miss a true man of God. Jesus judgment was not pointed towards Jonah, but
those who cast Him and Jonah out as if they were the problem and rejected of
God. In a new covenant relationship God knows us according to our eternal oneness
with Christ based on His death, burial and resurrection. Not an old covenant
relationship based on our lack/flaws. We must know ourselves and others by the
cross.
