Synopsis; Peter rebukes the thought of how far the glory of nature will go to truly glorify the Father. Peter was savoring the things of man. Paul gloried in a cross that crucified him! We don’t know what to savor… we want to savor what He does because we love Him. God savors those who take the low seat to bless those who persecute them. Jesus did not seek out occasions for approval. Jesus was a man in Kenosis… and that was how Jesus lived with no ulterior motives
